Ed Sheeran was bullied every day

Everyone knows Ed Sheeran, but few are those who know that he had speaking difficulties. The one of the most selling musicians was bullied in school for his stuttering and oversized glasses. Struggling with severe speaking problems, the shy ginger boy lost confidence and closed himself in his shell, detaching from his schoolmates.

“It was my love for the guitar that first got me into music and singing.”

Singing in the choir and playing guitar saved him, when no speaking lessons and therapies worked. He feared stuttering forever.

Music healed his stuttering
When Ed received an Eminem’s record from his dad, he was impressed by how fast and precised the rapping was.  Ed was inspired and learnt all the lyrics by his heart. And that wasn’t everything – he soon started writing and singing his own songs. After hours and hours of singing and expressing his own voice, suddenly the stuttering was gone.

He had 12 shows a week

He believed he was meant to make music and as he grew up he start performing in local bars and different venues. He was unstoppable, doing up to 12 shows a week.

Sleeping on couches, parks on the subway didn’t stop him from following his dream.
Going through ups & downs, lack of food and safety place to sleep, discouragement he never gave up. He knew that his only chance to be seen is to go in USA. He sent his music records to everyone, waiting for a response, that he didn’t receive. His dream was slowly furthering from him.

Ed was pushed on stage by a radio host
One day he was able to book a show with a radio host, and was pushed up on stage by him. He started playing, unsertainly, but soon the audience was on its feet applausing him and smiling. The radio host was Jamie Foxx, who then offered him to use his recording studio.Taylor Swift invited him to join her tour and that’s was the point where the great success was knowcking on the door. “When the world’s against me is when I really come alive.”

After years of harships he finnaly found his big break. The success followed immediately – his last album debuted 1st in 14 countries, and videos being watched billions times. The bullied shy ginger stuttering boy just did it to the big stage, showing everyone the power of the dreams.
